How it all started...
In 2014, the Deacons of Nettleton Baptist Church (then located on Nettleton Street in Jonesboro) were approached with an offer to purchase a portion of land on the border of Brookland and Jonesboro. Following this offer, they humbly drove to the empty lot, prayed over the land, and felt that the Lord had other plans. After declining the offer and staying in their location, the land was then purchased by the Northeast Arkansas Fairground District.
Expanding the vision...
Nettleton continued to grow in its location on Nettleton Street and had a vision to continue its period of growth. After eager seasons of prayer, the leadership sought the Lord's direction on which steps to take in the coming years. In 2016, the leadership of Nettleton was approached, again, to purchase the land they were originally proposed...this time, with additional buildings ready to be moved into. With a majority congregational vote of approval, Nettleton moved the church to it's current location at 7001 E Johnson Avenue.
Where we are headed...
After the move in 2017, Nettleton Baptist Church has seen a brand new vision for the church. Seven Core Values were installed to help guide the Biblical Principals of the church, Brady Canright was hired as the Senior Pastor, additional staff members were acquired to assist in the leadership of the church, and the ministries have continued to grow to new limits. God has moved in tremendous ways, but moving to this location is truly a testament of the faithfulness and perfect will of God.
